Ghetto Klown:
John Leguizamo -- a NYC public school graduate -- takes audiences on an uncensored, uninhibited, fever-pitched roller coaster ride from his adolescent memories in Queens, to his NYC high school where a teacher played a pivotal mentoring role that ultimately launched his acting career. This is John's life from the outrageous avant-garde theatre scene, to Broadway, and finally to the sets of major motion pictures and his roles opposite Hollywood's biggest stars.
Leguizamo's one-man show, Freak, received a Tony Award and Drama Desk Award for Outstanding One-Person Show while his self-penned Spic-O-Rama also garnered a Drama Desk Award. His Mambo Mouth received an Obie and an Outer Critics Circle Award, and his film performances have won equal acclaim, including a Golden Globe nomination for Best Supporting Actor.
